What is hedge funds ? |
Do they invest in anything they like as long they make money for investors ? What kind of stuff do they invest in ? They invest in almost anything in the financial markets around the world, stocks, bonds, currencies, futures, options, swaps, swaptions,commodities,sophisticated derivatives and options in any combination in both long and short positions.. Hedge funds seek absolute returns. In other words a positive return no matter what the market does. Mutual funds seek relative returns. Their performance is based on doing better, or the same as, some index. Hedge funds are private investment funds which only allow certain investors. |
