What is the best Texas Health Insurance Plan?

I have looked at a lot of plans. I am sick of people trying to sell me discount plans. I want real health insurance with co-pays on prescriptions and dr's office visits

Nobody but a licensed agent can answer this question for you. My agent is Texas based. They sell health insurance for all the major companies like Blue Cross, Unicare, Aetna, Assurant and United Health Insurance. They took my information and got me quotes from 20 or so companies and allowed me to pick the plan I thought fit me best. You should contact them if you are serious about finding a Texas Health Insurance Plan. Their website is http://www.lvhealthins.com These folks have went out of their way for me. That is why I am taking my time to tell you about them.

Best is a very subjective term. Good luck with that.

If you want real insurance, go to an independant agent-they will be able to offer you plans that have the benefits that you need medically and can afford financially.

If you are looking online it's best to trust the advice of someone that has done business online. I recommend you look closely at any plan you purchase from any agent. Contact your state board of insurance if someone trys to sell you a discount plan and call it insurance.

I would suggest you use yellowpages.com to search for health insurance brokers in your area.

Don't call your auto and home agent they specialize in property and causality insurance. You need someone that specializes in health insurance.

A Broker represents multiple carriers and can help you sort through all the different insurance companies and plan options in your state.

I would avoid the on-line quote sites, those will send your request for a quote to 5 different agents who will start calling you non stop and then you will be trying to figure out which plan is best, the last thing you want is 20 different quotes you need to sort through.

If you get a good local broker they will ask you a few questions about your needs and then recommend a company and a policy that best fits your needs and budget.

I can't say its the best but Assurant Health is the largest insurer of individuals and is a strong provider in TX they have a lifetime maximum of 25 million most other carriers max out around 5-8 million.
