Insurance career yes or no for me? |
i want to sell insurance and become an insurance agent i have my license,i cant seem to work for any insurer with out having more licenses.i dont want to keep taking test rite now im in school for insurance as well. If you have a life & health license then you can work for a number of carriers independently. Illinois Mutual is a good company with good products that will give you a contract. Shenandoah Life (www.shenlife.com) will also give you a contract to sell, it is an excellent rated company with a wide variety of products. In this economy, I think life, health and series 6 products will be hard to sell and make a good living as a new rep. P&C is always needed and can be sold in any economic time. Either go to work for a large independent rep that needs a new person to help out and learn from them as what they do to be a good salesman. Or go to an entry level job life Western & Southern Life and you can earn enough to stay afloat and still go back and get your CLU and CHFC designates. That will open new doors for you. get a parttime jon on the side but most people dont like insurance sales people be careful if dont work go back to college and pick yourself a good career good luck |
