I'm an insurance agent looking for a way to advertise, any suggestions? |
I am a fairly new insurance agent selling accident, sickness, disability, and cancer insurance. The company has been in business for 88 years and is growing each year, and the products we offer are great as well as VERY affordable. The company does very little advertising and we sell door to door to small businesses as well as individuals. I have a dedicated territory of 8 counties all within 150 mile radius from my home. I don't mind going door to door, but there has to be some other kind of way to get people interested in our products. I have already seen that with allot of folks, it's a matter of timing. What are some tools I can use to get my name out there and increase sales? Thanks you very much for any help at all. There are some pretty good books out there - Guerrilla Marketing being one of the best. It gives you some ideas on aggressive marketing without spending a lot of money. come up with a good ryme like Try advertising on the phone book, or google adwords. Magnet on the side of your vehicle with your name number and what you do. OK well either quit your job, or go to a magazine HQ, or radio/TV station and then ask if they will let you go on the air to advertise. Or use the newspaper NO BODY wants to buy INSHORANCE! End of THAT conversation. SOOO. the next issue is HOW do you get them to buy itand the answer is YOU SELL IT TO THEM. I would also suggest you look into google adwords. Even if your prospects have no internet access, they have a print add feature now added to their service which might work for your area The best way to increase your chances is through some target marketing. Mailers and door hangers work quite well, and not nearly as expensive as you would think. A website is also a great way to go. My web designer is a genius and I have personally seen him turn a one-man show into a thriving business with 18 employees, etc., within a year. (My computer tech guy introduced me to my designer. My computer tech guy was doing tech stuff on his lunch hour, moonlighting. He quit his job, went full time and hired a bunch of staff to handle all the business he got BECAUSE he followed the advice of our designer.) Try setting up a landing page with your information on it and have people sign up for your site for more information. Then send them your information! Then promote your site like crazy! visit http://www.premierinsurancequote.com You might consider buying Internet leads. They are especially good because they are generated by consumers proactively seeking solutions only minutes before you receive the leads. An internet lead is pre-qualified in the sense that the consumer has already performed a search with a search engine, looking for a solution to a problem. They have then taken the time to fill out a form, requesting a call. A good lead provider 鈥渟crubs鈥?the lead to make sure the data is valid before it is offered for sale. All of this is done in seconds after the consumer fills out the form. If you pay a little more, you can have the lead exclusively for a period of time鈥攅xclusive from the company that sold it to you. (If the consumer filled out more than one form, then they can be contacted by someone else.) Check out these guys: http://www.ileads.com/ Not only do they have real-time internet leads, but they also have a replacement policy for leads with bad data. They also enhance their insurance leads with data from First American Financial, so you will have a better handle on how serious and qualified the lead is and perhaps even be able to prepare a quote before you call. |
