Should I be insured by my company as well?

My husband and I are enrolled in the Lumenos HDHP with HSA,through his company, when I was job hunting.

Now I have a new job,so should I also enroll both of us in the insurance plans offered by my organization(the state ,to be more specific)?

Should I go for the high deductible plan or will a basic plan (called 'the state health plan' w savings) be good enough?

Should I enroll both of us in dental plans as well?

I guess couples who are working will know best.

But any input will be appreciated.

Thanks for your info. Some information about me
>>We have no kids yet.
>>We are kinds new to this City(Columbia,SC)
>>We don't have any medical condition and have not seen a doc for quite a long time.
>>The thing is my husbands enrollment period id complete and we cannot change his plan.
As I was unemployed at that time,I got enrolled in his plan.
From what you guys say,I think I should check for doctors in this area.
Please let me know if you have any more thoughts on this.

Take a look at that "bang for the buck." Which plan offers the best coverage for the money? Are you both planning on staying at your jobs? If one of you is planning another job change, it may not be the best idea to sign up with insurance at a company where you don't plan to stay.
Often, family coverage is significantly more expensive than single coverage. I have seen a few cases where it was more cost effective for each partner to enroll in their own employer's plan as an individual than to put both people on one person's insurance.

Be careful with the high deductible plans. If you have a medical emergency, could you pay the entire deductible in cash right now? If the answer is no, this may not be the best option for you.

Compare your options when choosing a doctor. If you want to see a specific doctor, make sure the doc accepts the insurance you are considering. Do you take regular medication? Is that medication covered under the policy or does it have a big co-pay.

Make a list of your current medical issues, doctors, medicines, etc. Find out what the costs associated with each would be for each insurance policy and see which one works best for you.

And yes, definitely sign up for the dental!

Well I Think U dont need it dontworry :)

Which of the plans (your husband's HSA or yours) do you and your husband feel is the most suitable and reliable for your family's situation? Do you just put everybody under 1 coverage or do you try to maximize the benefit of either plan (say you are covered by yours but your husband covers him and your kids)?
