What is a big insurance company name that has the best car insurance rates?

I just bought a new car...and though I know my rates were going to jump up, they doubled. I'm in the market for a new company. I currently use safeco.

you can't really go by the size of a company to get the best rates or the best company for that matter. your rates depend on a lot of things, not just the company. the best thing you can do is call an independent agent in your area and get them to check their companies for you. they write for a lot of companies and can find the best company, best rate for you. its a good thing to have a local agent too, so if you ever need help or have to make a claim, you have someone working for you who knows you and is local.

allianz is very goood

Hi,
Try Geico they seem to have the best rates around.
Good Luck
Tim

There are several big name companies that offer good rates for car insurance.

Among them is GEICO, AllState, State Farm, Prudential and MetLife.

You can compare free auto insurance quotes online with no obligation from several top rated insurers through InsureMe - Just fill out one form and get up to five free auto insurance quotes with no obligation. To request your free quotes visit - http://www.insureme.com/landing.aspx?Ref...

I hope that helps! Best of luck to you and Merry Christmas!!!

Best for me, or best for you, or best for the guy down the street? There are so many rating factors in an auto policy, that there is no "one size fits all" cheapest.

Go back to your Safeco agent, and ask him what other companies he has - and ask him to quote you out for a better quote. And if you don't like what he has to say, call around to a few other LOCAL, independent agents for quotes.

There's no short cut - you HAVE to shop around. The best quote for me might be the worst for you, with my insurer - State Farm.

1. If the coverage doesn't fit your need, it does not matter how big or inexpensive is the company.

2. If the agent, the product or the company is not reliable, the price does not matter.

3. You will get what you pay for and nothing is for free. Two key factors you need to understand when choosing the right package, agent and carrier for you.

Why double? You need to understand the contributing factors before you decide one way or another.

there is no a easy solution for your question.however,it is not solvable though.here is the good resource i have been referring.http://car-insurance.online-tips.info/ca...

A good place to start is to fill out a quote form at http://www.myinsurancequotes.net. You will be contacted by a local agent who will ask you some questions and help you determine which plan and company are the best fit for you.
