Statute of limitations on in Alabama?

Need to know if anyone knows the statute of limitations for settlement by an insurance company for an auto accident that was the other party's fault? Thanks

Personal Injury Statute of Limitations the time period within which you can bring a lawsuit for personal injuries -

State: Alabama
Length of Limitation: 2 years
Code Number Title 6, Ch. 2, 6-2-38 (l)

This is really unclear. There's NO statute of limitations for settlements. A settlement is an agreement reached, BEFORE a trial ends.

The statute of limitations to SUE FOR DAMAGES is 2 years. The injured party has to file suit, within two calendar years of the date of injury. Once that rolls by, you can be pretty sure there IS going to be no settlement.
