I want to close an educational policy before maturity. what can I do for the same.?

I have a childrens educational policy with Bajaj Allianz since 3 years now I want to discontinue the policy & get refund of my paid primium amounts. What can I do for the same?

l. Ask yourself why you got the plan in the first place, and then ask yourself is the p lan meeting your expectations.

2. I can only assume you paid a sales charge to purchase a mutual fund of some type from Baja. If you did, you have paid a sales charge either when buying or a hefty sales charge if you cancel.

3. I would recommend you contact your agent and see if there is a different product that they offer that you can transfer your fund into without any additional fees or sales charge.

4. I would suspect you are in a mutual fund of some type and its not doing what you expected it to do, as a matter of fact, you may be losing money. That's the nature of the stock market, it goes up, and it goes down, the good thing if its down now, you can buy the same thing you purchased before,. but cheaper, and hopefully, over the long hall 12-15 years, the fund will have the opportunity to exceed any so call safe investment ie., cd or money market.

If you are not satisfied with the company or its service, if you cash out now, you also may beliable for some extra tax's. Best for you to sit down with your agent and talk things over.
