im very responsible i will pay my bill and everything but he says i dont need a phone!!what should i do?? I think it's good to have a cell phone.. so you can find your buds, in case theres a change in plans, let someone know if you're going to be late, in case of emergency, etc. buy a pre paid one yourself Dad is correct. You do not NEED a phone. You WANT a phone. May I remind you that millions of Americans survived quite nicely prior to the arrival of cell phones ?
