How do i break into car Insurance so i can be an independent agent?

i have a health lic i live in western ky

i already am with aflac...buts thats health

Contact an independent agent from the yellow pages and ask them how they got started.

Give a local independent agent a call and maybe you can "network" with them, learn the ropes and it might end up being a win-win situation for you BOTH....your clients need auto insurance and his clients need life and health coverages!

Well, first you have to get your P&C license. The easiest company to get an appointment with is Progressive. So that's where you'll have to start, until you have a six figure profitable book you can roll over to another carrier.

Getting the appointments is, by far, the hardest part of starting an independent agency.
