How much does it cost to get your 'license' to sell health insurance? |
I was just on an interview & the guy told me before i got the job i would need to get my license. He also told me it would be a couple of hundred to get it. How much are we talking here? Is it hard to get your license? It depends on your state and what the requirements are. My agent paid for me to get my life and health license, but I already had my property and casualty license. Make sure you take a course to review the information you need to know for the exam and don't necessarily go with the cheapest course...if you have to take the test a second time it will cost more money both in $ and in time. cost depends on your state. its not only getting the license but the cost for classroom and the cost for the exam. some companies will pick up some or all of the costs. youwill need clarification from your sponsor You need to study, and the price varies by state - but usually it's under $200.
