Know Anything About Being Employed With An Insurance Agency?? |
I just received a call and set up an interview with an insurance company. People seem to be having mixed feelings about this opportunity. Why? How do things work? How much is the pay... and how do they pay (compensation?)? Basically... what should I expect? I have 3 kids and I'm trying to be careful. I'm sorry... I don't believe that "compensation" is the word I was looking for... but, either way, I can't think of the word... but I hope you know what I mean.... Ummm... :) I think it depends upon the opportunity that has been presented to you. If you are going to be employed as a life insurance sales person I can understand why your friends have mixed feelings about it. Life insurance sales positions are notorious for high turnover. With life insurance you always have to be signing up new clients. You try to sell your product to your friends and relatives then you run out of prospects. When you run out of prospects you lose the job. The other downside is that most people are buying term insurance that has very low commission for the sales person. Wait, are you talking about an agency, or a company? |
