it would have been funny if you had said 'car' insurance

blind people are just as entitled as you, to take out house insurance and life insurance - and NO the premium on house insurance is not increased if you ask for _braille_ documents

all my insurance documents and my key board is in braile, so people like me dont appreciate guys like you being politically rude about us, being blind. so stop it.

It would not, mind you I have not had that request in all the years I have been an insurance broker. I am not even sure that the insurance company have to provide it in such a format....

With regards to the comment about 'car insurance' in braile. If you look at B&Q leaflets for van insurance they do offer the option of receiving information in that format! (The owner may not be a driver of course....)

Firefoxy, blind people are entitled to own and insure cars too. The owner of a car is not necisarily the main (or even a) driver!

I'm sure the Disability discrimination act prevents extra costs on sending out braile documents. Are there not now braile printers that will print and generate braile as quickly as printing a viewbale document?
