Is it possible to obtain health insuarance outside of your job....? |
that doesn't cost a fortune? I am unemployed. I have major medical & a dental/vision discount card. I'm single with no dependents (45yo) and pay about $110 per month. It is possible but it is expensive. Consult an independent insurance agency that handles health insurance. No. Well, maybe. If you're 25 and healthy, you can get a basic policy with a $5,000 deductible (meaning, you pay the first $5,000 of medical bills before the insurance kicks in) for about $125 a month. It's possible to get insurance outside of your job, but it's expensive. Check around and see what's available. |
