I can't work cause of the heart problems if his insurance is group insurance there should be no questions about pre-existing conditions for him or dependents. Without giving any information about your situation, he can go to his Human Resources person to learn how the insurance company treats new spouses. (If there's no HR department, he can call the insurance company directly. If it's a group plan through an employer, you should have no problem getting coverage. However, it's likely that a pre-existing condition exclusion will apply, basically limiting coverage for your heart conditions for a period of ime. You can get around this by giving them a Certificate of Creditable Coverage to prove that you were covered for these conditions for at least 18 months prior to enrolling inhis coverage. (Even if it wasn't a full 18 months, you should still be able to get some credit for your previous coverage. If it's group health insurance, and you've got current coverage now, yes they'll cover you without excluding the heart issues. |
