Pregnancy insurance? |
I have insurance right now, I am probably 3-5 weeks pregnant. I haven't gone to the doctor yet because my husband should have a new job on monday. I have medicaid as a 2nd insurance but if i go and ask for pregnancy services, and show them that im pregnant with a note from doctor, can i use medicaid until the new insurance kicks in and then use medicaid as a 2nd insurance? You may not beable to use Medicaid as a second Insurance if your Husbands Insurance covers what you need. You can however use Medicaid until you get your husbands Insurance. Your husband's new medical benefits will most likely not kick in for 1-6 months so whether you go to the doctor now or not is not going to make any difference. If the new insurance has a pre existing condition clause it will not cover the pregnancy, if it does not it will cover any bills you get after it takes effect. I don't know if medicaid counts as prior insurance coverage, with the new insurer. |
