I rented a car form enterprise. i got full covarage insurance?

i got in a hit and run collision, will that be coverd.. my friend is in the hospital now due to the accident

Will WHAT be covered - the car? Yes. The friend's injuries? Don't know. It depends on what "full coverage" means. It usually means, physical damage plus liability. Anything else is in the eye of the beholder.

You'll have to read the contract.

You should be covered. Also notify your regular auto insurance carrier. You may be covered there too.

"I got full coverage insurance" - do you mean on your personal auto policy or that you purchased insurance from Enterprise?

Either way - contact your personal insurance company and let them know about the accident - your insurance company may have some responsibility to handle the claim (depends on terms of your policy, rental contract, law of your state).

If your friends injuries are very bad - was he admitted? Any thing broken? If so, he may need to contact his personal car insurance and put them on notice of the claim. Any money they paid - would be after Enterprise and your policy. But if he's messed up bad - that could happen.

When you talk to your insurance adjuster they should be able to tell you if your friend needs to contact his company and how your policy and state's laws work.

Definitely read the policy and contract.

If you got the insurance through Enterprise, keep in mind that it is probably considered the secondary policy (or excess policy) and that your own insurance coverage (that you have with your personal car) is considered primary.

Contact your personal insurance company.

Contact Enterprise to find out who the insurance was through so you can notify that insurance company of the accident (although Enterprise probably would have done so, it's a good idea for you to do so as well).

Keep a copy of your rental contract and, if possible, make multiple copies of it (depending on the type of paper its printed on, it may fade).
