Business insurance in san diego?

i need to get liability insurance and workers compensation for my insurance, i dont need big or expensive ones since i barely started my business and its small, any companies would be fine, thank you!

Unfortunately, as you know, everything is generally more expensive in California, although expensive may be a relative term since, generally speaking, people make higher wages in California. I would recommend you speak with your local independent insurance agent to determine which markets would be best suited for you.

Depending on the type of company you have, there may be some companies that WILL write Work Comp for you as a new business. General Liability will also be hit and miss depending on your type of business. That is why I recommend an independent agent, they will have access to multiple markets and can find the right one to cover your business correctly. I'm sorry to be so vague but without knowing what kind of business you are starting, it would be virtually impossible to recommend specific companies.

Also, Burns and Wilcox is a broker that is accessed through an independent insurance agent. Unless you are a General contractor or a roofer or something as risky, Burns may not do the best job for you. Talk to an independent.

Well no one is going to write workers comp for a new business, except your state fund. But whatever agent you go to for the liability should be able to help you on that.

You need a local, independent agent to get you your insurance. Most standard companies won't touch a 'startup' business, so don't be surprised if you end up with a non-admitted carrier.

Depending on what type of business you have, the liability is probably going to start at $750 or higher, and the workers comp at $200 (for clerical only businesses, like accountant offices) and up.
