Can i get temporary medicaid?

i have abcesses really bad and i went to the er tonight and they told me i had to have surgery!! i dont have any insurence is it possible that i can get medicaid? i dont have any income either!! im 21 and single!

I would suggest visiting the Medicaid website which can be located at http://www.cms.hhs.gov/MedicaidEligibili... If you qualify they can even backdate your eligibility up to three months. Here is some of the information I pulled from their website.

Medicaid is health insurance that helps many people who can't afford medical care pay for some or all of their medical bills.

Coverage may start retroactive to any or all of the three months prior to application, if the individual would have been eligible during the retroactive period.

On the website you will also be able to do a search for your local Medicaid office in your area.

I hope that you find your experience today issolated and shop around for a health insurance policy. The risks of being uninsured far exceed the benefits of not paying a premium. Don't catch yourself in the same scenerio and start taking steps forward to getting yourself out of this rutt.
