WHAT CAN I DO?? My kids have to have insurance!! My family is from texas and both of my boys...? |
have heart problems. My oldest has had one heart surgery and my youngest 2 heart surgeries. They have always had medicaid and this past week i went to recertify their medicad and they told us that my fiance made too much for them to get medicaid!!!!! No other insurance is going to cover them for 6 months to two yrs with their preexisting stuff!! And I cant afford to pay it all on my own!! I cant work because my youngest requires 24/7 care and has a different appt everyday! So my kids cant go to daycare. They are both suppost to have another heart surgey next summer, How in the hell am I suppost to pay for two surgeries let alone all of the other appts. (one cardiology appt is over 1200 and they each go there atleast once a month) Does anyone know anything that I can do??? My fiance is the father of my boys! And he works his *** off for what we have! AND like i said before no insurance will cover them!! Well, you're right, no private policy is going to take on your boys with their heart condition. Good luck, maybe your children's fathers can get jobs covering them. I don't know why your finance income would matter unless you are living with him. Since you can't work and aren't married you might try getting on welfare until you can resolve your finances. Maybe you could live closer to your family and get your parents to watch your child while you work or maybe your finance can watch them at night or on weekends so you can work full time at a job with insurance. Maybe you should get married so your finance can cover them on his work insurance. Does your fiance have the option to get health benefits through his employer? If you were over the guidelines for medicaid, your worker should have automatically referred you to the state CHIP program. You will have to pay a small enrollment fee to get them covered and there are small co-payments for some services, but there is no pre-existing. |
