How can I hang my series 72,63,&24 licenses to care for my family & return at a later date (maybe 2yrs+)? Your Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) registration effectively terminates when your broker-dealer employment is terminated, and you cannot conduct any securities business. Generally, if you start working for another broker-dealer within two years, you will not have to retake the qualification exams. However, if you wait more than two years, you generally will have to requalify by taking the exams again. Well, you can't quite "hang" them. You'll have to get the sponsoring company to agree to keep you sponsored, and you'll have to keep up on the continuing education and licensing renewals. |
