Maybe. This is Herbalife, right? There have been concerns about the safety of some of their products, and they have been involved in a lot of controversy about how they run their business. I would be very suspicious of any "multi-level marketing" program, because these sound to me a whole lot like Ponzi schemes. (In a Ponzi scheme, there is more emphasis on selling franchises than in selling the ultimate goods, and the real money is made by only the top level people.)

Take a look at this article in Wikipedia about them, and pay close attention to the sections on Controversy and Litigation.

There is also this site: http://www.ripoffreport.com/0/133/Ripoff...
but that really makes no attempt at balance. Overall, I think the Wikipedia article is reason enough to be very concerned.

Another thing: Apparently, most Herbalife sellers don't make a lot of money. The company refers to the profit distributors make (the difference between the wholesale and suggested retail prices of their products) as "distributor allowances." In 2006, that came to only about $500 per distributor per month. That $500 does not take into account any discounting that the distributor might have offered, and it comes before all costs for advertising, gas, and other expenses. That's not very much.

I am sure you were looking for reassurance here, but I hope this helps. I cannot tell you what you should do, but I know that I would not get involved with these people or their business.

No, you didn't make a big mistake. Herbalife is a great company and has great products that have really helped millions of people around the world. If these products weren't good products how could Herbalife have billions of dollars in sales? Herbalife does not claim to cure anything, but they do have great health benefits. PTI (Premier Team International) is a great tool to becoming successful as long as you follow the system. There is a step by step process to becoming successful, just follow it and give it all that you've got. Do not let all of other peoples negativity take away from your goals and dreams. You can reach them. Articles that are bias and don't give you both sides of the story are no good for anyone. If you are still concerned look for both sides of the spectrum, not just all of the negative comments. If you follow the system, do the training, start on the products (because if you don't experience the products, how can you sell them?), do what your mentors tell you to do, you can and will be successful. Like PTI says, you can not just sit on the couch and expect the money to rain on you. This is a real business and a real opportunity. Treat it as a real business. I could keep giving you more and more information, but I just don't have the time. Good luck in your search.
