Did any of you in Indy get your property tax assessment today? |
All this crap about a 1% cap will not work. Mine is up almost $27,000 now. They were already high.. I am told it will be reassesed every year. We need to eliminate property taxes......at this rate there will be more forclosures....I am calling someone tomorrow.... While the knee jerk reaction is to eliminate property taxes, the reality is that you have to pay for government services through some means. If not property taxes then by what method? I am not in Indy, but I too have seen my real estate taxes climb and are now set at levels before the mortgage crisis evolved so they are high. Yet I am told that my county government is scrambling for money to meet it's budget. One wonders just why that would be since they have increased revenue. It's time to grill local and state legislators on getting budgets in line and keeping all taxes down. It's harder and harder for the common folk to get by. |
