When a person is fired from a job in Indiana how long does it take to get our check? |
If the company does not produce a check what can I do in order to receive my payroll check from them? they have to pay you right away. if they dont you can go in and get paid even though you dont do anything. getting layed off then fired, thats diffrent. but if they say your fired you should get your check right then. 30 minutes file a complaint with workforce development, unemploment office, dept of labor if you don't get it the same time you always do or if you don't receive it after turning in your uniforms, name tag, etc typically by law when a company "fires an employee" they MUST PRODUCE A CHECK FOR YOU WITHIN 78 HOURS (3 DAYS) They should send your last check as soon as possible. However, they can wait until you normally would be paid. This depends on just how far from Indiana you were at the time of your firing. Rumor has it that there's one poor fellow, an astronought, who's STILL waiting for the post office to come up with a zipcode for "The Sea of Tranquility"! ........but why would we get a check if a person is fired? ;-) |
