How do I get licensed and bonded to be a contractor?

You need to get licensed through the Secretary of State.

http://in.gov/ai/licensing/

if your field is not listed, call the Sec of State for guidance- really, they are generally helpful.

To be bonded, you have to go to an ins. co that specializes in that insurance. You can as at the Sec. of State or you can start calling insurance companies.... or you can do a search at yahoo of contractor/construction bonding/insurance.
