Does anyone know what led the indy police to the 2,400 pot plants this week?

I don't know, so I apologize for interrupting to give you basic information that may be irrelevant. But the way authorities often find large pot growing operations is...you're not going to believe this....the ELECTRIC BILL.

Grow lights necessary to maintain those plants eat up a lot of power. If your power bill was $37 last month, and this month is $1578, someone might notice.

I've read that even ignoring the extra human traffic such an operation can bring in or the sales activities or money laundering, one of the easiest, most likely, and most common ways they trap these guys is by their utility bills. Gives them probable cause and they're done for.
