What ever happen to "Green stamps"?

I kow you used to get them from A&P grocery stores in Indianapolis,Indiana. Back in the early 1970's

Here is the history of the green stamps:

I believe they stopped giving them out because it wasn't profitable for them anymore.

Last I heard they were still around and you could still use the stamps for things. Look on the net. s & h green stamps, there's all kinds of imformation.
