I have a fax number but not a company name how can i find out the company name?

You can do a reverse phone number search at:
http://www.whitepages.com/10001/reverse_...

It will give you the information that you need unless the number is a private unlisted number.

try a reverse look up on the fax number

fax them a page that asks for the company name, and they will fax their name back to you. asking always works.

you can call the number and see what they say. they might even say something like "thank you for calling (place's name), how may I help you?"
don't be afraid to call a place that you don't know the name of.
