How much money does a good used car salesman make per week/month/year?

Hubby brings home 30% of profit on each particular vehicle. So it depends on how much profit they make. And its VERY rarely 1-3 grand a week. More like a month for that amount. Sometimes two or three times that, but sometimes half that. Guaranteed a "draw" which is the minimum wage amount mentioned in previous answer, but that money has to be paid back when he does make a sale/commission. So if you have 3 or 4 bad weeks in a row that you get paid a draw on, then a good week, most of your good week commission is gone by the time you pay back.

Typically you have an average commission of $1000 per vehicle sold and a good salesperson should be able to selel 2-3 cars per week so I would say around 2,000 to 3,000 per week minus taxes and expenses. Dont forget that many work on commission only so if you dont sell you dont get paid - or- you always must first pay back the "advances" of the minimum wage pay you got before you got good at it.
