Does anyone know what the regulation for sound in Marion county Indianapolis Indiana is? I believe you are referring to a public nuisance law. If the police officer responding to a complaint believes that the noise is above "acceptable" levels and is bothering those beyond your property, you may be found guilty. In a car, if the music can be heard outside the vehicle with the windows up you can be in violation, but obviously that is not strictly enforced. With windows down, you can be cited if the officer believes it is bothersome to others outside your vehicle. |
