Can any one tell how to calculate my Income tax., as per the present rules, i mean after 2008-Budget?


Like I am drawing Gross anuual income of INR350000. Break up -- Basic-270000, HRA -58400, Conveyance-9600, Medical-12000, I pay LIC-23112 p.a.... EPF contribution 12% of basic. I pay rent INR5000 p.m. Please. give me an idea how much I would paying without any other investments.

Lengthy calculation, talk to one of the Tax Consultants. Basically you are in the category of Rs 3-5 lakh. You may have to pay tax @ 20% of your net income.

Contact your accounts department.
They will have Excel worksheets.
