The Income Tax India web site is useless. Mostly filled with old information. Just a name sake web site.

You cannot trust web sites information. Most of them are with old information. If you want reliable information, then buy a Income Tax ready reckoner every year which will cost nearly Rs.400 to 500. If you bargain, you may get some discount also. (about 20%).
