What is maximum limit for Rebate under Section 80C on account of Tuition Fee paid for 1 child in 2007-08?

What is maximum limit for Rebate under Section 80C on account of Tuition Fee paid for 1 child in 2007-08?

Mr. drsanjee...'s answer is right. It is one lakh.

Maximum 80C deduction is allowed up to a limit of Rs.1,00,000. This 80C deduction includes Tuition fee for 2 children, PPF, LIC premium, NSC investment etc.,

Regarding the tuition fee, even now it is restricted to maximum 2 children. But the limit of Rs.12,000 per child has been lifted off since last year. You can pay a tuition fee of Rs.1,10,000 to only one child. But you cannot claim more than one lakh deduction under sec.80C. (Including above said PPF, LIC,NSC etc.,). Last year my sun-in-law claimed his daughter's collage fee Rs. 85,000 in his returns U/s 80C.
