Can a employee get an exemption for his disabled relative when thier father is a pensioner? As far as I know it is not allowed in India. You cannot claim any exemption for a disabled relative. You can claim your disabled father, provided his income does not exceed a certain limit. When you file your taxes, you also have to take care of him at least 7 months out of the year. |
