What is amount limit on which there wont be tax for ladies?

Mr. Sriram.G is right. The tax free income for Ladies (<65 years) for the running financial year 07-08 (AY:08-09) is Rs.1,45,000. It was Rs.1,35,000 last financial year 06-07 (A;Y 07-08).

Tax slabs for women below 65 years of age.

Till Rs.1,45,000 tax free
1,45,001 to 1,50,000 Tax @ 10%
1,50,001 to 2,50,000 Tax @ 20%
2,50,001 and above Tax @ 30%
+Education cess @3% on tax.
+10% Surcharge if the total income exceeds Rs.10,00,000.

Even if a lady (<65 years) earns upto Rs.2,45,000, still it can be made as tax free income if the lady invests upto Rs.1,00,000 in 80C investments.(Link PPF, LIC premium, Band FD, NSC etc.,).

Example:
1. Net income; Rs.2,00,000; Investment in 80C Rs.55,000. Net income will be reduced to Rs.1,45,000 by this way. (2,00,000-55,000=Rs.1,45,000

2. Net income Rs.3,00,000; Investment in 80C Rs.1,20,000. You may invest more than one lakh in 80C investment. But the 80C benifit is restricted to Rs.1 lakh only. So your income in this example will be 3,00,000-1,00,000=Rs.2 lakhs. That means you have to pay tax on Rs.55,000. (2lakhs-1,45,000=Rs.55,000).
