How much money I have to invest to exempt from my taxable income is Rs. 2.5 Lakh?

U/s 80C Maximum you can invest Rs.1,00,000/- only. If you are men, you have to pay tax on balance Rs.40,000 @10% = Tax Rs.4,000+ Edu.Cess Rs.120/-.

Your income: Rs.2,50,000 less 80c deduction Rs.1,00,000= Rs.40,000 balance taxable.

u need to invest about 1.40 lakh to exempt from tax,
but can u manage your living in 1.10 laks p.a.
also maximum limit to investment in 80C is 100 k and u/s 80D about 10 k.
