Hi guys, Need info regarding my salary break up!?


Guys , I've been recently employed by an IT company in Pune, with sal of 4 lpa.. My salary breakup is as follows :
Basic - 160,000
HRA - 80,000
Special Allowance - 96,184
PF Employer Contribution - 19,200
Domiciliary Medical Reimbursement - 15,000
Leave travel Allowance - 13,328
Gratuity - 6,688
Conveyance Allowance - 9,600
Total Cost to Company - 400,000
Since its my first job, i've little idea bout these terms..
Can neone explain me these terms and let me know what my tentative "IN HAND" salary will be?

Hiii your approximate monthly take home salary may be in the range of Rs 20,000 to Rs 21,500/- (Basic +HRA + Spl Allowance + conveyance less IT deduction and your PF contribution) . You can claim your medical reimbursements periodically by submission of pharmacy bills. LTA can be claimed against bills of travel ( tax benifit will be once in 2 years). Gratuity is not paid even annually... its payable on leaving the present company and that too if you leave prior to 5 yrs of joining you may not get any amount as gratiuty.

PF will not be given in ur salary(deduct), at hte end of the term or while going out of the company it ll be given

medical reimbusment is when u r producing medical bills they ll give upto 15000 a year and if not produced it ll be given at the year end by deducting the taxes(i think)

Gratuity will not be given in salary and after 5 years of employment u ll be eligible for gratuity

leave travel allowance.. when u r providing bills and applying for this ll be reimbursed up to the amount u specified in a year

and apart from this there will be tax. ur under the slab of 30 percent....

Please remember that there are certain allowances which are paid along with the salary, like House Rent Allowance etc. You must ascertain whether the Conveyance Allowance is payable on reimbursement basis. LTA will be paid and in case you have travelled and to the extent of the travel expenditure, that allowance will be exempt from taxation. Similarly, the medical reimbursement could be available on your production of the proof of having the expenditure for medical treatment.

You earn Appx. 35000 per month.
However, the "IN HAND" salary would be approx. 30000/-
It is quit good one.
