What is a good job for a 13 year old in Houston, TX with pay or no pay??

What is a good job for a 13 year old in Houston, TX with pay or no pay??

I don't know what your interests are, but my husband is a home builder here in Houston. He's self-employed, but has always hired 12, 13 and 14 year-olds to help him with manual labor...he drives them around and drops them off places...and then comes back and gets them when they are done. If you were interesting in something like this, I'd keep a notepad with me, and when out driving with my parents, I'd write down phone numbers off trucks...like pick-up trucks that are advertising their remodeling company...and then call them. Tell them you're off for the summer and are looking for a job...and ask if they need help. A lot of times these people hire illegal workers and would be pleased to hire a young, ambitious kid. I would ask for min. $8/hour.

get involved in a summer camp , with live in privilege's all is paid. as a canceler or as yardman and get a lump sum at end of summer, which can help with you schooling costs.

McDonalds has a summer program thingy where you can work there. You cannot work under 16 i believe unless you have a permit that you can work somewhere.

So ... You canot work anywhere unless its at home, or neighborhood
Volunteer work would be good too

One idea is to offer to play with someone's kids while the parents are home. They may not want to allow you to babysit, but it would be wonderful to have a sort of "big brother" around. I have paid $3.00 per hour for this in Seattle.

Moms ALWAYS need help. You could tidy up someone's front yard, sweep the porch. Do dishes, fold laundry (and put it away!) Clean up flower beds or under trees. Organize cupboards. Clean out the refrigerator. The ideas are endless!

You cant get a real job untell your 14 but i would say put out flyers for lawn mowing babysitting dog walking and maby even life gaurd

actually you can work at mcdonalds when your 15, but any other place will probably only allow 16 year olds and some jobs require you to be 18 like blockbuster b/c of R rated movies(dont understand that, its not like your gonna watch movies during your shift!)....so your only choice is probably babysitting. good luck! =]

babysit
