What is a television?

i heard a friend say this word, she may have been joking.

On this planet we have had an electronic box that shows live & pre-records programs, movies, documentaries, news, comedy, etc ever since the end of WWII, it was an offshoot discovery from radar which was invented prior to & during WWII. TV didn't actually become widely available until the mid-to-late 1950s. World War II (America'sInvolvement) began on December 07, 1941 after the country of Japan in the Pacific Ocean attacked the American held islands of Hawaii (also in the Pacific Ocean). It was an unprovoked ACT OF WAR! After America & its Allies won the war in Europe, American then struck back at Japan to end the Pacific Theater portion of the war by dropping Atomic Bombs on 2 of Japans largest cities!
And that is the start of TV ! Enjoy & tell the people of your planet what a wonderful & educational invention it is -- they may want to leave out the WAR part, though! Horrible stuff WAR !!!
