Can someone tell me a bit about the Ewa Beach, HI?

I am planning to buy a house in this neighborhood. Can you tell me about the school and community. How is the house market there? Thanks

it is on the cheaper side of property on oahu. it takes for ever to get from ewa to honolulu because of the traffic. the closest surf break to even consider is barber's point. any public school in hawaii is horrible.

if you don't know about the area or community why are you buying a house there. i would think you would want to come here and check it out first. if you are looking for better schools and not really interested in being here to enjoy hawaii for what it has to offer, then buy a place in millilani. the public schools there are probably the best on oahu.

if you are buying it as an investment property, go away. you are artificially raising the price of real estate past what any of us who actually live here can afford.

The best thing for you to do is get in contact with a local realtor. Are you currently living in Hawaii or moving there? If you are not there now, a good realtor can send you information including school and community data. They can most likely e-mail you listings so you have a good idea of the market before you even get there. If you have any questions about buying a home in general, shoot me an e-mail. Let me know if you would like the name of a good realtor as I have a great realtor referral network (I'm an agent myself).
