Diamond genuine?

I'm sorry, how do you tell if a diamond is genuine?

rub it on glass - if it scratches the glass, it's genuine. It won't tell you the purity though, only a respectable gem dealer can do that

i agree, only a diamond will cut glass so go for it - but don't try it on your best crystal!
