Bachelors in radiation therapy- planning on going for p.a. program for masters?

I am planning on attending cal state northridge in fall 2008 with a health science major- radiation therapy. After I obtain my bachelors degree in radiation therapy, I would like to apply to a two- year p.a. program school such as Loma Linda, USC, or other ones in California. Am I on the right track with my undergrad major decision to become a p.a. ?

I am doing radiation therapy because I can get a good job with the major even if I don't get into a p.a. program.

you asked me this before and you wondered why are there no jobs in radiation therapy. I am not kidding you. even if there are, its very hard to find. you basically have to relocate yourself and network a lot. my friend who is a therapist has a hard time finding a job after school is over. FYI though, I heard MA is hiring radiation therapists right now but how long will that be. In the 90s, there was a shortage not anymore. I don't know how people can lie and say there are jobs. Too many reasons why? Our health care system is corrupt with greedy doctors and beauracrats, therapy machines are too expensive to buy in the hospitals regardless there are so many cancer patients to be treated, and the cost of therapy is off to the roof and many patients' insurance companies don't want to pay for it. Then, there is the recession. If I were you go straight to PA school or become a RN or go to respiratory therapy. I would say the only guarantee now for jobs is nursing I would say. Even the health care field is not a guarantee especially that a lot of hospitals are closing esp in NJ/NY area but I don't know anywhere else.
