Would you change to a more fulfilling career with lifetime of debt or stay in current occupacion? |
At a crossroads in my life; opportunity to pursue a career I believe will bring me more happiness, downside is the cost to return to school and not work while I am in school will rack up alot of debt and will mean I will live the next 20 years paying off loans. Could you do it - really think about this one; forgoing a house and potential retirement savings in echange for more meaningful career. Money isn't real. Choose happiness. I changed paths in my 20s and went to nursing school and incurred about $50k in debt. While the dollar amount is daunting to me, I am far happier in my position now than I was working in a job where I didn't feel valued, that my work wasn't important, etc. And my career earns me enough money to pay for that debt, so all is good. i wouldnt do it if you are going to be stuck with major debt that will not be able to pay off. Find something that you can do that you can pay the loan back quickly. Most medical fields you will be able to.. Hi, |
