What is the difference between STANDING ORDERS and SCOPE OF PRACTICE in the medical field? |
I am a medical Assistant and I am taking a huge test to be qualified to apply for the job. But I am really confuesed with this question. Any help would be appreciated. Standing orders are specific orders you are given for any patient who fits the criteria for action, and you do not need to contact a physician for an order. For example, it is a common standing order in nursing to be able to give Tylenol to a patient who has a headache. |
