Maternity Ward Nurse?


What exactly do they do?? I am considering this job. Can you be JUST a nurse that works in that area? What is the title?

What is required to have this job??? How many yrs. of college?

You have to go to nursing school first.
You can either choose a 2 years associates degree, available at most community colleges, or a 4 year bachelor degree, available at most universitys.

yes, you can do just that type of nursing, but I will say that of all the nursing jobs in the hospital I work at, and I a ma pre nursing student myself, that maternity nursing would be the most BORING department to work in. you do practically nothing. I personally would never do it, I need to have more action and unpredictability, ER is where I want to work...
