I would like to find a home based job doing medical transcription. i have many yrs experience in the med. fiel |
i am med-tech certified in N.C. I know a great deal of abbreveations in the medical field and would like tom work from home Medical transcription is not abbreviating...you have to know the entire spelling of the term and what they mean. You have to have great spelling and grammar, as well as fast, accurate typing. To be honest with you, you are seeking work in a dying field. With so many facilities using voice recognition software (Dragon, in particular), many transcription positions are turning into medical editor positions or being eliminated. Even though some major hospitals may be using voice recognition I have so many clients that will stick with digital audio files for a long time to come. Some of my clients are still using micro tapes and have no intention of even going digital yet. I do medical transcription for some small practices. I also do general transcription for other clients that again still use tapes and I contract to some transcription companies that are always busy with lots of digital files. So I personally think transcription will be around for quite a while yet. I found this resource site for virtual assistants and there is a huge section on transcription from home. http://www.virtual-assistant-advice.com... Working from home is the best idea to earn some money. If you are thinking that it is time to create some extra income from the internet, congratulations<!--There are literally hundreds of ways to do just that. So what are the ways of making money online ? http://6moneytips.awardspace.com/... http://parttimejobs.awardspace.com/... So many online jobs are out there. In fact, to do any online job, you need not want to invest anything. Make sure, you dont pay anything to get jobs online. It is just that need to pick the one that suits you the best. I hope this helps you and-->I believe you will find the online job that you love the most. There are many excellent MT training programs to choose from, most of which can be done online in your own home. Medical Transcription is not a field that you can just pick up and start doing even if you "know a great deal of abbreviations." It is a health care profession. Good luck! |
