Does anyone here work in the health care field? |
If so, what do you enjoy about it? I am applying for a job in health care this week (entry-level)....I want to know what to say on t he interview so I seem more appealing to them as to why I want to get into health care. Don't know too much about health care! For me it's a matter of being able to help patients as well as doctors. I enjoy working with other intelligent people who are at the top of their game, making the hard decisions and putting it all together to keep people healthy if possible. My job specifically deals with diseased tissue and sometimes autopsy. It's an opportunity to literally learn something new every day. Not all cancers present the same way and sometimes the most benign case will manifest in a very interesting way. There is no social system in the world that is more complicated than the modern hospital. You will see humanity at its best and at its worst. You will see people who have been shot, people who are in agony and people who have just been given a new lease on life. Everyone is at some level responsible for the safety of the patients and the success of fellow staff. It's stressful, but it's awe inspiring at the same time. |
