Bachelor science in nursing? |
what can one do with it like a career? like whats the difference between a vocational nurse? In regular floor nursing, there is virtually no difference in what BSN ( 4 year degree) nurse can do and what an ADN nurse can do( 2 year degree). The BSN comes in handy if you want to accelerate to administrion or if you want to get your masters to do nurse practitioner, it's a must. A vocational nurse ( LVN, I am assuming is what you're asking about) is limited in what they can do as far as certain meds. LVN's couldn't be a charge nurse of a hospital floor. Infact, where I work, LVNs ( or LPN's ) are no longer working in the hospitals. My hospital wants only RN's. LVN/PN's are used a lot in the skilled care settings. BSN and RN you can work pretty much anywhere that needs a nurse. LNV/LPN may be a little less in demand. Be a NURSE!! The bachelor's degree comes with more money. Become an R.N., naturally. |
