Does anyone know the average salary of a medical insurance coder?

and what about a medical assistant (back office) salary?

i'm really interested in the LVN program but i don't know if i could do it. what really freaks me out is giving personal care for an elderly person. i'd be afraid i would hurt them or something.

any advice i would greatly appreciate it.
all of my family keeps giving me so many different suggestions on what to do, but all they're doing is just confusing me even more.

thanks you guys!

Your question is quite confusing. I am guessing you are asking these questions and trying to figure out what job you want. My neighbor is a insurance coder and she makes about $30k per year. She loves her job too. If you even think you will have a problem with handling patients don't do anything dealing with them. Not being rude but I have seen people go into home health then quit in the middle of a shift because they couldn't handle it. You can't leave elderly patients alone like that and they would just walk away. I know people that are medical assistants and they earn about $10 an hour but they all work with patients in hospitals not in the offices. But I would think their pay would be about the same. I hope this helps.

ok you dont want to pay to go to school for something that u can learn at your job if you really want to be in the medical field my advice is go for LPN or RN medical assistant ???Im a RMA there is no jobs too many of us n no jobs at all I have a 8k loan with no job n Im not the only one the salary depends here in pa no more than 12h mostly10h I have to go back to school to be an LPN next year again LPN is the best choice is a 1 year program n once you finish there is more chances to get a job than medical assistant Imean MORE chances n you can go for RN if you work as an lpn they may help you to pay to become a Rn Medical assistantS ARE NOT N DEMAND!!!!!!!!!
