Any Nurses?? What is it like? What characteristics make a good nurse?? |
I am currently taking classes towards nursing but have been doubting myself lately...I would love to hear about what to expect, what qualities make a good nurse, etc. And in particular labor and delivery nurse. Please share whatever you can!! Thank you! Hey, I don't know. But, I like your question. I'm currently taking prerequisite classes, so I can enroll in the nursing program at my college. I'm more than halfway there, but I'm also nervous about becoming a nurse. It's a very stressful job. I'm sure that you need to be able to read people and symptoms. Also, you need to know how to deal with doctors who often times treat nurses like crap. Doctors have huge egos, so I think you need to have thick skin. So, my answer to you is to have thick skin, have a willigness to help others, and have self-confidence! Second guessing yourself in life and death situations can be disastrous. ok - my opinion is if you have the brains to be a Nurse you sure could be a doctor |
